Lighthouse Christian Academy (LCA) - Challenging minds and nurturing hearts God’s way

Open enrollment for the 2012-2013 school has begun! Our program is available to students age 2 (by September 1st) thru Kindergarten. We continue to offer strong Christian curriculum, small class sizes, and a loving environment for all of our students.

Our program offers 2 day, 3 days and 5 days per week with before and after school hours available. Our Kindergarten students benefit from our curriculum utilizing Bob Jones, Saxon phonics and Handwriting without Tears. Classes fill up fast as our enrollment has increased by 30% this year! Don’t miss out!

Epiphany Juvenile Ministry

This weekend (Feb 3rd-6th), Kerry Kinney and a team are heading to Mart Texas to the McLennan County State Juvenile Correctional Facility. If you have not yet contacted Kerry to be added to the prayer chain for this weekend do so today.

Also, she is still accepting donations of $5 for meal tickets for the boys. The team will be serving from Friday evening through Monday evening. Please pray for healing, open hearts, and open minds for these boys. The team will have the honor to serve the Lord to 36 young boys they are called “Stars.” The stars are ages 10 to 17 years old.

God continues to perform miracles every day in the form of changed hearts and minds. While you are enjoying your enjoying your upcoming weekend every time you see a teenager please pray for these boys and the team. If you have any other questions about Epiphany please contact Kerry Kinney.

Summer Mission Trips for 7 - 12 Graders

It’s only January, but our Mission Trips will be here before you know it!!! If your 7-12 grader is at all interested in going on a Mission Trip this Summer, please contact J R Belcher for more information. We will have two mission trips this summer, one with CTCYM (conference mission trip with other churches) and one in Mexico at Casa Hogar.

Please Join Us for a Free Child Abuse Seminar February 9th!

Stewards of Children is a revolutionary, evidence-based child sexual abuse prevention program created by the Darkness to Light Foundation that educates adults to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. Whether you're involved in camps, clubs, faith based organizations, school groups, or sports leagues this training will raise awareness of the need for prevention training and provide valuable tools for recognizing the signs and symptoms of child sexual abuse, creating prevention policies and proper reporting.

Valentine Redo Dinner February 17th

Are you the person who always drops the ball when it comes to Valentine’s Day? Amped Student Ministries has a way to make you look like the hero for Valentine’s Day. On February 17th, Amped is hosting its 2nd Annual Valentine Redo Dinner! Join us from 7:00-8:30.

You will enjoy a delicious Dinner served by the students of Amped followed by an Auction. Auction items consist of the Students of Amped. All proceeds of this evening go toward this Summer’s Mission Trips so come enjoy an evening of fun with your church family and help send these students to CTCYM and Mexico!!
